At KingsCare we support people in a range of ways.
At our heart is creating community connections. Reducing social isolation through various activities such as minibus outings, social gatherings, walking, gardening, Tai Chi or singing, provides something for everyone.
We support people with their wellbeing through our NHS Wellbeing Programme, combining our skills, ideas and creating ways to live improved lives.
We are funded to support people when they are discharged from hospital, so that people can relax during an anxious time.
We support people with memory loss and dementia, using a variety of ways to stimulate cognition. We support carers too, valuing their contribution and helping them to find new ways to share concerns and gain support.
We have an experienced Mental Health Support Worker who works one to one and in groups with people, helping them to manage their mild to moderate mental health diagnoses.
We offer to provide transport so that people can get to their medical appointments and social events.
We encourage people to stay active and healthy through a range of activities including general exercise, walking groups and our summer weekly swimming sessions.
Our weekly minibus trips provide an opportunity for people to connect and become a part of the larger community.
Finally, we work in collaboration with others and will always signpost people towards the right support when we cannot help.
