Help us to support our community

Every activity we run – from Lunch Clubs, Tea & Chat, Games & Craft sessions, to our Wellbeing Walks, weekly Minibus Outings, and various carers groups – brings connection, comfort, and care to those who need it most. We now ask for a suggested donation for all of the support we offer, whether that be social support through our KingsCare Socials, or practical support such as food shopping and transport. As with many others in the voluntary sector, our operating costs have increased greatly and in 2024/25 we saw a large deficit. This means that we have to find new ways of raising money just to cover our operating costs and keep our much needed and valued Charity going.

Here’s what it costs to keep our services going:

The Avenue Church Socials that we run weekly cost us £140. This covers the cost of the room hire, refreshments, and the staff wages to organise the events.

Our monthly Lunch Club costs us £90, this event brings joy to dozens of people.

Tea & Chat costs us £80 a month to run, bringing the community together for a cuppa, a slice of homemade cake, a raffle, and much needed connection to reduce social isolation.

Minibus Trips cost us minimally £150 a week. These outings are much loved and allow people to explore the local area and enjoy a light lunch.

Memory and Carers Cafés costs us around £200 to run. This includes the cost of the room hire, refreshments, and the wages from our experienced staff members who run the event.

Each 6-week HOPE course costs us around £1000 to run. This includes the cost of the room hire, refreshments, and the wages from our experienced staff members who run the event.

Each Anxiety Café costs us around £1000 to run. This includes the cost of the room hire, refreshments, and the wages from our experienced staff members who run the event.

It costs approximately £250 a month covers the cost of running a months Wellbeing Walks.

The impact of these groups are huge, by setting up a monthly donation, you can help us plan ahead, keep these vital services running, and reach more people across our community who might otherwise be excluded.

Your support creates lasting change – one month at a time.
