Getting Started
We are here to help, no matter how big, small or crazy your fundraising plans are!
We can help with ideas, materials and any other support you may need to hit your fundraising goal.
Step One: Find an idea
Not sure what to do to raise money?
Have a look at our fundraising page for some suggestions.
Step Two: Set up an online page
Once you know what you would like to do, the next step is to set up a page via our KingsCare page on Just Giving.
Fundraising pages are easy to set up and only take a few minutes.
If you would like a sponsorship form for those who are more comfortable with a cash donation then please get in touch.
Step Three: Spread the word
Keep an eye on our social media page, Facebook. to help explain to your supporters why you are fundraising for KingsCare and the difference their donation will make.
Also don’t forget to tag KingsCare in any social media posts that you do so that we can share with our supporters so they can see all the wonderful things our fundraisers do for us!
Step Four: Fundraising support
Contact the team if you have any questions, need tips and advice or would like to order some fundraising materials.
We are available Monday to Friday 9am–4pm. Email office@kingscare.co.uk
Step Five: Company Match Funding
If you work for a company, don’t forget to check with them to see if they offer ‘company match funding’.
Many of them do, which means they’ll match any donations that you receive effectively doubling your total fundraising – amazing!
Step Six: Gift Aid
Don’t forget to ask you donors to tick the box for Gift Aid as we can claim an extra 25% gift aid!
Important Event Collection
Asking friends and family to donate to a collection for KingsCare to commemorate or celebrate an important event is a meaningful and memorable act.
Whether you choose to support us in memory of someone special via a collection at the funeral, or choose to support our work when celebrating a special occasion such as a birthday or a wedding anniversary, we are here to support you in any way we can. With a collection, you can help make sure we are for the vulnerable and at-risk when they need us most.
These kind gifts make a huge difference to the charity.
How do I hold a collection?
There are two ways to hold a collection. For online donations, please open an online JustGiving.
This will make it quick and easy for friends and family to support your fundraising.
You might also like to request collection envelopes that family and friends can use to make private donations.

How do I pay in money raised?
You can donate your money online here.
Or if you’d like to make a bank transfer, please contact us on information@kingscare.co.uk
Alternatively, if you’d like to write a cheque, please address it to Kingscare League of Friends, and post to KingsCare, co/ Kingsteignton Medical Practice, Whiteway Road, Kingsteignton, Devon TQ123HN.
We’d be most grateful if you could let us know how and why the funds have been raised so we can communicate with you appropriately.
