Dave’s Charity walk for KingsCare

My name is Dave Pinkham and I aim to walk at least 70 miles of the South West Coast Path on various days between May and November 2019 starting with two days in Hartland, North Devon on May 16th.

The terrain will be tough and challenging and, hopefully, my 70 year old legs will cope with it! I’ll certainly give it my best shot. 🏃💨

I’m hoping to raise at least £5000 to be shared between my two chosen charities.

The South West Coast Path Association needs an annual income of at least £630,000 to keep it maintained and open for locals and visitors alike to enjoy in safety and comfort. This spectacular trail has some 20,000 wooden steps and 1000 need to be replaced annually. Just £10 buys one new oak step.

KingsCare League of Friends is a local charity that works to improve the lives of those in greatest need within the community. Based at Kingsteignton Medical Practice it reaches out to many local socially isolated and disabled people and those suffering from a range of mental health conditions.

I am truly indebted to them for the help and ongoing support they have given to my wife and myself.
