Newton Abbot Memory Cafe

Time: The Memory Cafe runs on the third Thursday of the month from 2:15-4pm

Venue: The Avenue Church, Newton Abbot, TQ12 2BY

What is a Memory Cafe?

Our Memory Cafe offers a friendly place to meet for those people living with dementia and their carers. The Cafe is run by our Wellbeing workers David and Jackie, and our experienced volunteers. Sessions are also open to those people who are worried about their memory, or the memory of a loved one. There is always a hot drink and biscuits available with the chance to socialise.

The Memory Cafe also offers emotional support, information and guidance. There are activities available that provide mental stimulation such as word games, quizzes, crafts and sometimes outside speakers and entertainers. However perhaps most importantly, the Memory Cafe offers a warm welcome and the hand of friendship to everyone who attends.

The Memory Cafe is free but donations are always welcome to help cover costs.
